We can all relate to going down a YouTube 'rabbit hole' at some point in our lives. Whether it starts with clicking on an unusual video recommendation on our personalized homepage or selecting an eye-catching video from the 'watch next' list, you begin by clicking on a single video. Then, seven clicks and an hour later, you are watching a completely different video with no idea how you ended up there. Sometimes this simple search may lead you to find a new topic of interest or content creator, and other times, it may lead you to start your own company. That is how my journey began. 

I have always loved experimenting with beauty products. Herbal or otherwise, I found that almost all of them worked well and positively impacted me. But that was not the only impact it left. With age, I soon realized that these same products did not give me the same results they did before. These so-called 'high-quality' and 'sure-to-work' products seemed to be drying out and damaging my skin and hair even further. At this point, I began exploring more herbal products and tried-and-true homemade recipes, which seemed to help. That is when I stumbled upon a video on YouTube, detailing how to prepare a remedy for dry skin by washing ghee (also known as clarified butter) one hundred times with water. My inner-chemist immediately gathered all the necessary materials and got to work. I was amazed at how well it worked on my severely dry skin. Impressed, I conducted further research on various Ayurvedic practices and recipes, herbal cosmetics, and the process of cosmetic formulation. Reading about the respective formulation processes of both mainstream cosmetics and herbal cosmetics, and the advantages of using natural ingredients made me realize how much I wanted these types of products to be easier to access and use. Shortly after, I decided to start this company with the goal of making it easier for people like me to do right by their bodies, using products with the finest ingredients and natural preservatives. Ultimately, our goal is to make high-quality, convenient products that will enable you to take charge of your health.

The biggest lesson I learned throughout this journey, and the experiences that led to it, is something that seems like a great idea in the short-term may (and often does) carry with it long-term consequences. Businesses and marketing tactics make it easy to think that mainstream cosmetics are the best choice for your body. However, while they may deliver quicker results, it most likely causes damage to your body and overall well-being that will only become apparent later on. Using herbal ingredients, which are non-toxic and biodegradable, benefits both you and the environment. With both the creation of this company and the products we sell, we are thinking long-term, centered around you.
